For writing together with people on Zoom or in person:
- Graduate Writing Lab (GWL): "offers free consultations by appointment with trained and certified graduate writing tutors. Tutors offer helpful feedback on any kind of writing at any point in the process." They have in-person and Zoom appointments, and feedback loop, which is basically uploading your doc and waiting for comments.
- Writing Center at Think Tank: this center hosts the Graduate Writing Lab as well, but they also offer writing feedback services for all students at UA. Most of their services are for free.
- Writing Skills Improvement program (WSIP): offers free and fee-based services. You can check their services on "Tutoring" and "Fee based services". They also organize weekly workshops for free and offer drop-in or by appointment tutoring.
For writing together with people on Zoom or in person:
- Writing Efficiency Sessions: take place every day, through Zoom or in person. Check the timetables and details on the website.
- The Writing Efficiency Sessions also partnered up with the SLAT program to create a specific space for SLAT students (both majors and minor). They take place every Tuesday from 4pm-6pm. Here is more info: "SLAT’s WES will be held on Zoom starting Tuesday, August 24th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. There will be a WES each Tuesday afternoon through the rest of the Fall 2021 semester, with the last WES happening on December 7th." - Informal study group: initiated by DSP grad students; the schedule is updated every week and you can add your name to the slots in which you want to join.
